Common questions
How do I book a service?
Open the app, choose customer or provider, sign in with Apple, set or confirm your ZIP, browse services or provider showcases, pick a time at least 24 hours ahead, and save your card with Stripe. You’ll see the service estimate and dual 15% fees before you confirm. You’re charged when the provider finishes the job.
How do payments and platform fees work?
Payments are processed by Stripe. Sparkefy uses a dual 15% fee model on the service price (customer fee + provider fee), shown in the booking summary. Optional tips go 100% to the provider. With deferred pay, your card is saved at booking and charged when the job is finished. Sparkefy does not store your full card number.
How do I cancel a booking or get a refund?
Open Bookings, tap your booking, and choose Cancel this booking. You can also cancel from Live Tracking when available. Paid bookings are refunded automatically when possible through Stripe. For issues, email sparkefysupport@gmail.com.
What is the 30-day booking window?
New bookings are limited to a 30-day window so schedules stay accurate and providers can plan reliably. Choose a service date within that window when you check out.
How does live tracking work?
On supported jobs, enable location for the app. Live tracking uses MapKit so you can follow progress while a job is active. Tracking is available within the booking window for eligible jobs.
How do I become a provider?
Sign in as a service provider, set up your business, complete verification to go live, then use Edit Showcase & Pricing for cover photos, work samples, and packages. Your payout is the service price after the provider platform fee, plus 100% of tips, via Stripe Connect.
Is my payment information safe?
Yes. Card payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant processor. Sparkefy does not store full card details on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data.
